Background to the Hub
The Hub of Commissioned Alcohol Projects and Policies (HubCAPP) is an online resource of local alcohol initiatives throughout England and Wales. The Hub has a particular focus on capturing the policies, decisions and strategic history that enabled projects to come into existence.
Who funds the Hub?
HubCAPP was commissioned by the Department of Health and is managed by Alcohol Concern. HubCAPP is also part of the Department of Health's Alcohol Improvement Programme and sister site of the Alcohol Learning Centre.
What types of practice are identified?
The Hub has a focus on identifying and sharing local and regional practice in relation to reducing alcohol harm. The Hub will also collect information on needs analysis and strategic planning.
Welsh Projects on HubCAPP
In 2009-10 the Welsh Assembly Government (Llywodraeth Cynulliad Cymru) funded Alcohol Concern to identify Welsh alcohol projects and to list these on HubCAPP. Welsh initiatives can be searched via the projects page.
Youth Projects on HubCAPP
In 2009-08 Comic Relief funded Alcohol Concern to identify youth alcohol projects and to list these on HubCAPP. Youth initiatives can be searched via the projects page.
