Kirklees Adolescents Anonymous
Description:
Adolescents Anonymous is a DVD accompanied by a comprehensive guide for teachers and other professional that shows the dramatic and moving portrayal of the effects of alcohol on three young people at different times in their lives.
The DVD and lesson plans are designed to be used with years 7, 8 and 9. However a teacher may decide to use the entire resource with one year group. In this case lesson plans will need to be adapted accordingly. The content of the DVD is suitable for use with students beyond year 9 (and with parent and carers).
Young people should not have to remain silent or anonymous about the effects alcohol has on them or those close to them. This resource was seen as way to give young people an opportunity to review their individual positions, identify appropriate support options, consider their own personal values and where relevant, adopt protective strategies which enhances their safe progression into adulthood.
