Last Orders, the Framework Housing Association Brief Advice Service, commenced in September 2008 with the training initiative Last Orders Phase 1 | Framework Housing Association's Brief Advice Service . Last Orders Phase 2 is the next stage of this specialist service, and is focussed on the delivery of Identification and Brief Advice (IBA) and extended IBA in primary care. It is funded by NHS Nottingham City.

The Alcohol and Drug Liaison Team (ADLT) is a team of 3 clinical nurse specialists working across all sites of Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The team provide referrals, specialist assessment, extended brief interventions and health education to relevant clients.

Derbyshire DAAT is currently preparing for the implementation of ‘Project SWITCH’, an alcohol arrest referral programme that intends to build on the foundations of their existing Drug Intervention Programme (DIP). The initiative will enable the remit of the DIP to be widened to include alcohol referrals.

In Coalville the Leicestershire Night Time Economy Bluetooth Pilot transmitted Bluetooth messages to young people in the town centre during weekend evenings in August 2008. The project piloted Bluetooth technology to warn revellers against drinking too much and causing trouble for other people enjoying a night out.

It was a collaborative project by Leicestershire Drug and Alcohol Action Team (DAAT), Leicestershire County Council, North West Leicestershire Partnership in Safer Communities, Hinckley and Bosworth Community Safety Partnership and Leicestershire Police. A similar project took place in Coalville, Leicestershire
