Early Implementer Projects
In 2008 Primary Care Trusts (PCTs) were invited by the Department of Health, Alcohol Improvement Programme to become part of an 'Early Implementer' Programme.
These PCTs are supported with additional funding allowing them to lead the way in implementing the high impact changes for alcohol. The 20 PCTs are those with the greatest level of alcohol-related hospital admissions. Since July 2009 HubCAPP has been capturing the work of these Early Implementer PCTs and some of this information is available on the site.
More information on Early Implementers and Alcohol Improvement Programme is available at www.alcohollearningcentre.org.uk.
